Manpower group lands on Golden Eagle deal
Scotland's Orion Group has landed a deal with Nexen UK to provide personnel for the forthcoming Golden Eagle development in the North Sea.
Orion has been contracted to supply UK and overseas manpower for both the Golden Eagle and related Peregrine field development over a fixed five-year term.
Already the company has been supplying manpower for Nexen UK for its Aberdeen and Uxbridge offices, and for its UK North Sea installations, and others in West Africa and US Gulf of Mexico under another existing two-year deal and Nexen has extended that contract by a further three years.
Together the two deals have substantial value for Orion, said Steve Grieg, associate director of the company. “These deals amount to £20million per year and will have an immediate impact on Orion Group with our focus on the opportunities which will arise over the next five years,” he said.
