Aker has been contracted by Subsea 7 to supply a six kilometre (3.75 umbilical cable which will connect the new Svalin C development so that it can be tied back to the Grane field which lies 8 km (5 miles) to the north east.
Aker won a NOK 400 million deal from Statoil in Deceber last year for the subsea production system at Svalin, in a water depth of 120 metres (393 feet).
