Norway's  AGR Field Operations has bagged a deal to provide subsea well abandonment services on two fields in the Timor Sea off Australia on behalf of PTTEP's local subsidiary.

Workscope is for abandonment of wells on the Challis and Jabiru fields and the value of the contract is put at NOK 25 million ($4.48 million).

AGR offices in Perth and Darwin will work on the project, which will last up to ten months.

Brett Smith, executive vice president for AGR Asia Pacific pointed out that the company has been involved in the fields – first as Upstream Petroleum and later as AGR - over the last 15 years.
