Planner - Nyhamna Project Control team

Energy People is working together with the internationally reputed Project Control Advisor Turner & Townsend to form a Project Controls Site Team responsible for executing the project control program for the Ormen Lange Onshore Terminal Project. The purpose of the Planner position is to contribute to delivery and maintenance of standard, consistent and realistic project plans reflecting the assessed TECOP parameters for each project.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Deliver and maintain consistent and realistic plans and control structures for meduim-size, stand-alone projects.
• Identify alternate approaches to optimise the plan(s).
• Support delivery of plans and schedules for major, complex projects under guidance of Senior Planning Engineer.
• Contribute to the development of the projects TECOP profiles and translate these into the plans using deterministic and probabilistic analysis methods, as appropriate. Liase with and challenge project engineering personnel to ensure proper understanding of the key schedule sensitivities and drivers.
• Assist implementation of the emerging Client standard tools and processes.
• Provide input data for and participate in benchmarking activities.
• Assist in peer reviews.
• Contribute to close-out data to enable knowledge retention (lessons learned, project data compilation) at completion of work.
• Coach junior staff through training in planning tools and techniques.

Qualifications:

• Engineering Degree and/or Certification as a Planner or equivalent experience.
• Significant industry experience in planning.
• Good written and oral communications.
