Beskrivelse

Grenland Group undertakes projects within design and engineering of new drill ships and semisubmersibles, as well as modification and conversions of older semisubmersibles, FSOs & FPSOs, shuttle tankers and other offshore and marine floaters. Grenland Group has extensive experience of delivering engineering services and solutions related to FPSOs, FSOs, oil rigs and well intervention vessels. As our new Specialist on rotating equipment, you will be responsible for maintaining technical expertise in rotating machinery internally and externally.

Arbeidsoppgaver

Ensure technical expertise in rotating machinery both internally and towards clients in all stages of a delivery project
Prepare specifications for procurement of rotating equipment packages (compressors, turbines, pumps) adapted to the required tasks
Technical comparison and evaluation of vendor offers
Monitor the vendor's fabrication, factory acceptance test (FAT) and final control (MC) on the supplier's workshop/yard
Participate as a mechanical engineer or senior engineer in minor or major projects and ensure that project-related tasks are performed in accordance with procedures, plans and budgets
Technical supervision of supplier design and control of the supplier interface
If necessary, participate in surveys, installation and follow-up tests (MC / commissioning) offshore
Technical contractual liability (single point of contract)
Responsible for ensuring complete delivery of equipment and documentation prior to closing of the contract
In some periodes, extensive travelling is necessary

Kvalifikasjoner

MSc / BSc in mechanical engineering
Broad knowledge of mechanical, rotating equipment and associated systems, min. 6 years of relevant experience
Familiar with API standards and relevant regulations for pumps, compressors or turbines
An understanding of thermodynamics, the structure of rotating machinery, and basic knowledge of material engineering
Multi-discipline experience
