Beskrivelse
- Determining any variables involved for the degree of compatibility between a piping material and a certain fluid.
- Valve & Equipment material selection based on P&ID's, temperature, concentration, pressure, velocity, aeration, abrasion, cavitation, flashing, etc.
- Define suitability of any valve & Equipment material within steam application/project.
- Propose and verify the selection of a suitable valve body material and components such as seats, ball, stem and packing.
- Taking account of corrosion on the valve body, seats, ball materials carefully since corrosion of these components will likely affect the sealing characteristics of the valve.
- Propose and verify the selection of a suitable equipment material (pumps, vessels, chemical inj. skid etc).
- In addition to the compatibility of the material towards fluid, material and design must be capable of withstanding the actual pressures and temperatures.
