For one of our clients we are looking for : WORKING ENVIRONMENT CONSULTANT Contract Period: ASAP - 14.06.2013 Option period: 2 x 6 Months Work location: KRISTIANSAND – onshore, with periods offshore Assignment description: For Health and Working Environment (H&WE) professionals engaged in project developments, below are typical responsibilities, tasks and deliverables associated with their project role; - Be an integral part of the project`s Engineering and HSE teams and contribute to the project and specific HSE objectives - Contribute to a good and open communication between the project and internal & external stakeholders - Contribute to timely involvement of user representatives in the relevant project phases - Obtain experiences from similar projects in the early project stages and ensure the use of `best practise` documents. Prepare experience transfer documents based on own experiences at the end of each project phase and ensure these are recorded for internal experience transfer - Identify and process non-conformities within H&WE - Execute the assigned tasks in an effective manner and submit the deliverables relevant to H&WE for each project phase on time - Manage the production and revision of H&WE documentation and procedures for all project phases ensuring that such documents conform to applicable regulations and the Company`s construction and commissioning objectives - Provide H&WE engineering advice and technical support for all project phases including construction, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance - Follow-up contractors, and sub-suppliers if relevant, to ensure the good quality of the deliverables, compliance with Company requirements, policies and procedures and national/international authority requirements and the involvement of H&WE considerations and requirements in the project design - Participate in the preparation and regular updates of the HSE offshore management plan with focus on H&WE aspects - Cooperate with, and challenge internal stakeholders such as other engineering disciplines in the project - Identify key H&WE aspects for the project - Attend and contribute to the project HSE and Engineering team meetings, held either by the project or the contractors (for relevant phases of the project) - Participate in contractor H&WE audits, and monitor, follow-up and assess any agreed corrective recommendations as well as ensuring their implementation - Perform own verification activities toward contractor if necessary, and include this activity in the project quality assurance/quality control plan - Keep an organized record of correspondences, decisions and actions related to H&WE, and regularly update the action status lists - Participate in project technical reviews, to study and provide recommendations and guidelines in terms of H&WE engineering for the project, and ensure that H&WE content of the project is adequately addressed, and the shortcomings rectified - Support the project HSE manager for the preparation/update of general HSE documents (e.g. HSE Program) - Prepare/update H&WE sections of project documentation such as Scope of Work for the contractors, tender documents, design basis, facility description etc. - Take an active part in tender evaluation process as part of the technical team during the relevant project phases and ensure relevant requirements for your competence area and tenderer assessments to be properly managed - Identify and control risks and regularly update the project risk register and follow-up the actions relevant to H&WE discipline - Be in close contact with the discipline networks in the Company organization and involve discipline advisors in the decision making process on issues regarding H&WE - Prepare/give input to presentations for internal and external meetings or project design reviews Competence requirements: - Higher education covering Working Environment/HF/HMI - At least three years of experience Working Environment/HF/HMI in projects - D&W competence required - Good insight into the authorities` regulations and technical standards and preferably Company requirements - We are looking for candidates who are cooperative and used to working in teams to achieve results, structure, systematic and able to use various computer tools - Cheerful personality and good communication skills Language requirements : - Norwegian and/or English oral and written For all inquiries please use reference number 22078-12 We offer competitive economic conditions for the right person.
