Geologist/Sedimentologist (Senior to Advisor Level) Bridge Energy ASA is an oil and gas exploration and production company which holds production licenses in the UK (North Sea) Continental Shelf and exploration assets in both the UK and Norwegian Continental Shelves. Bridge Energy Norge AS, is now looking to recruit a geologist to join their team in Asker, just outside Oslo, to aid growth and expansion.
The successful Geologist/Sedimentologist (Senior to Advisor Level) will be based in Asker and will be responsible for the provision of geological support to the Exploration group. You will assist in formulation and licensing rounds, operated licences and assets, as well as provide geological input into new business opportunity evaluations (data rooms and farm-ins). Your duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provide geological input into the operated and non-operated exploration licenses including well correlation and volumetric generation
- Prepare and present material as required by internally and to third parties (Authorities/ partners)
- Construction and maintenance of static reservoir models using Petrel
- Basin wide prospectivety to focused prospect scale analysis for participation in licensing rounds
- Technical evaluation of potential farm-ins and asset acquisition
- Representing Bridge Energy at license meetings
- Commissioning and management of consultants undertaking geophysical studies for Bridge Energy
Who we are looking for The successful Geologist must be educated to degree level, either MSc or PhD, in Geosciences or related subject. You will have a proven track record in a Geologist role in the upstream Oil & Gas industry. You must be able to demonstrate the following: - Proven background in an oil company carrying out exploration geology, preferentially including offshore NW Europe/North Sea
- Broad experience with sedimentary geology and subsurface data, including clastic reservoirs
- Skilled in analyzing reservoir/depositional systems and prospect evaluation
- Compiling and integrating geological and petrophysical data and the result of seismic interpretation to map and predict reservoir parameters
- Familiar with contributing to integrated, co-work projects
- We run Petrel and user skills on this and similar applications are required
- Documenting work and results to industry standard
- Excellent communication skills (English)
