Name of assignment: Equipment Specialist - Wellheads/Trees

To manage the supply and delivery of new christmas tree and wellhead equipment to meet the requirements of the New Well Delivery Process for client.

Identify the needs of each well operations team and co-ordinate the design and procurement process
Ensure that the design and integrity assurance requirements of GP10-50 and associated client, API, ISO and regulatory requirements are met.

Responsibilities:
Identify the need for wellhead and christmas tree equipment and drive the process to ensure timely manufacture and delivery to meet drilling programme.
Prepare functional and technical specification based on Clients GP documents, NORSOK , ISO/NACE and API
Assist Drilling and Completions Engineers in the development and management of equipment statement of requirements and purchase specification.
Assist in tender evaluation and technical grading of potential suppliers
Match chosen supplier specification to functional and technical specification, identify and risk assure gaps.
Assess the need for design reviews and manage the associated activity
Identify, co-ordinate, witness and control all of the qualification testing.
Ensure that the appropriate level of inspection is specified and tracked during manufacture, assembly and testing
Work with suppliers to ensure that QA plans have been established and are followed.
Identify & manage third party inspection requirements through delivery and from supplier QCP and BOM identify critical component inspection activity.
Co-ordinate the activities of TPIs to ensure IAS-01 level 2 inspection is carried out and reported in an inspection tracker.
Identify any FAT / SIT or stack ups that need to be carried out above and beyond supplier / client / regulatory standard and ensure these are carried out.
Manage production of rig manuals for installation, operation, handling and storage
Develop routines for removal; scoping for reinstallation, inspection, renovation, recertification and re-installation.
Develop maintenance and preservation requirements and ensure implementation
Make regular reports to Wells Team Leaders and responsible client discipline engineer

Formal Skills requirements:
At least 5 years practical experience with design or manufacture or supply of wellhead and christmas tree equipment.
Working knowledge of wellhead and christmas tree equipment regulations API 6A / ISO 10423 / ISO 13628-4 and local legislative requirements as per NORSOK
Preferable to have understanding / experience of quality assurance systems and processes as per ISO 9001

Duration: Start in August - duration to August 2014 (possible extension).
