Main accountabilities and responsibilities
•Responsible to establish and maintain Goliat power strategy.
•Responsible for administrate the purchase of power.
•Responsible for interface with Statnett, Hammerfest Energi, Statoil as operator of Hammerfest LNG Plant, Nussir operator etc. relevant to the purchase of Goliat power.
•The work shall be executed in close cooperation with the Goliat Licence and the relevant Eni Norge Departments and Sections (Commercial, Finance etc.).
Main Tasks
•Develop, maintain and update Goliat power strategy based on operational parameters as well as external frame considerations such as discharge permit, supply security, power prices etc.
•Establish and maintain routine for daily interaction with the relevant Departments and Sections and for assessment of power requirement from the power grid.
•Develop and update the Goliat License power procurement strategy and report as required to Goliat License on power purchase.
•Administrate the purchase of power (NordPool Spot, financial products, bilateral agreements etc.) based on Goliat power requirements and Goliat power strategy and in close cooperation with the Finance Department.
•Monitor and analyse drivers and mechanisms in the power market.
•Carry out risk assessment on supply security.
•Advise on Goliat CO2 quota purchase strategy.
•Establish, maintain and coordinate external interfaces (Statnett, Hammerfest Energi etc.).
•Coordinate required contacts with other major power consumers in area (Hammerfest LNG Plant, Nussir etc.).
Formal education
Bachelor/ Master of Business, Economics or Science.
Languages
luent verbal and written Norwegian and English skills.
Experience
5-10 years experience in the power market, preferably experience in oil and gas exploration and production
Required knowledge technical or professional skills
•Excellent analytical skills, programming skills an advantage
•In-depth knowledge of the electricity, gas, fuel and CO2 markets
•Understanding of the power infrastructure, insight into legal and regulatory framework an advantage
•Ability to understand commercial drivers, risk and uncertainties
